kaelyn & morgan

I'm a 'great' aunt! Really! When I was in New Orleans my niece, Kerrie, let me take some pictures of her cute daughters. It was so much fun to hang out with them for the day at my parent's house. And plus, I got some good exercise from our little photo shoot! :)

Just havin' a little fun! :)

Here I am with my cute nieces. Aren't they just adorable?

I love the look on morgan's face here...

Here's mom with her girls...

beignets?!.......

I know some of you might not know what beignets are, so I am just posting this so you can see what I was talking about in my last post with Patrick. And I am going to use Patrick again for my model... :) By the way, isn't he just so stinkin' cute!!!

So, these are beignets.... And like I said before, if you don't know how to eat them, you could look like Patrick in the next picture wondering what just happened and how! :)
Rule #1: Do not exhale while eating...
Rule #2: Do not inhale while eating...
Rule #3: Do not sit by anyone who is not following the first two rules...

And there you have it....
Seems pretty simple.....doesn't it?!.....
Oh, and just a side note: it's pretty easy to forget the rules before indulging in these tasty treats, but it only takes once! :)

Thanks Patrick for all the fun!!

cafe' du monde, beignets, and patrick!

Jeanette, my neice, and her 18 month old son, Patrick, and I went out to Cafe' du Monde for some yummy beigniets!  If you know New Orleans, then you know you can't leave this awesome city unless you go to Cafe' du Monde!  And you also know that if you don't know how to eat them, it could be a big mess!  :)

Patrick was loving all the powdered sugar!  But then, so were we!  :)

He's laughing at me because I'm wearing his new hat...

I love this one...

i'm in nola!

I arrived in New Orleans on Sunday for the Image X Workshop! Some of the best of the best photographers in the world are here to give seminars and help us newcomers in the business learn and grow in our careers. What a great industry! It's almost like a big family in how photographers support and help bring each other up to the next level in their business. I will post more about that later, but I wanted to share a few photos of the view from my room. It's awesome! I'm sitting on my bed at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel, in the French Quarter, watching the barges and ships go by on the Mississippi River. (I'm on the 6th floor, almost eye level with the ships. If you don't remember.......New Orleans is below sea level!) :)

I love the rainbow in this next shot...

abby's soccer game

Here's Eli's big sister playing soccer.  She's getting pretty good!  I don't get to go to all of her games, but I love watching her play!  She's #7 if you can't tell...  :)

eli's soccer game

Eli's one of my most favorite little people!  He's funny, smart, and dang cute!  I love his humor and facial expressions.  This was his last game of the season - I only got to see half the game, because I had to go pick up his older brother from football practice - but I promised him I would take some pictures of him playing.  I loved every minute.  I think at some points during the game he thought he was playing 'football' instead of 'soccer'! :)

He got a running start to kick the ball in.  I love the look on his face!  It's so intense...

bree

Remember Viv?! Well, this is her cousin, Bree. We had so much fun this day! Bree was a little nervous at first, but soon warmed up! She has a sense of self-confidence that you can see in these pictures. I love 'em...

She's trying really hard not to smile.... :)
